Beginning April 8, the Office of Financial Aid will release financial aid packages for a limited number of admitted students, as it continues to await FAFSA data from the Department of Education. Admitted students will receive an email notification on how to view their financial aid package in OnePort, then a mailed copy, on an ongoing basis as more information becomes available.

Any student who intends to apply for or renew their financial aid for the 2024-2025 academic year must complete the FAFSA at Please submit your FAFSA as soon as possible.

Federal Emergency Grants for Students

In response to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the United States Congress authorized federal financial support to institutions. A significant portion of the funding is for direct student emergency grants.

UNC Asheville’s Student Emergency Fund

Current students who meet certain criteria may be eligible to receive financial assistance from UNC Asheville’s Student Emergency Fund.
