Campus Crime Reports and Statistics
The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) is a federal mandate requiring all institutions of higher education (IHEs) that participate in the federal student financial aid program to disclose information about crime on their campuses and in the surrounding communities.

Protection of Minors

The University policy on Protection of Minors on Campus establishes requirements for University-Sponsored or -Affiliated and non-University-Run Programs or Activities operating on campus. All programs or activities involving minors must meet the basic policy requirements in the administration of the program to be approved.

Title IX

Gender Equity and Sexual Respect
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (“Title IX”) defines and ensures gender equity in education. The law prohibits all forms of sex or gender-based discrimination in any education program or activity that receives federal funding.

The Title IX Coordinator is responsible for educating the campus community through primary prevention and ongoing prevention programs, presentations and campaigns to keep UNC Asheville students, staff and faculty educated, informed and safe.

Accessibility Services

The Office of Accessibility works collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff to ensure that all aspects of campus life are accessible. The Office provides the University community with resources, education, innovative programming, and direct services in order that people with disabilities may have a greater opportunity to achieve social justice and equity.
