AAPI Mental Health: Why We Need Culturally-Informed Care

A panel discussing Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Mental Health will be held on November 3 at 5 p.m. in the Mountain View Room in the Sherrill Center.

Featuring four mental health practitioners with Asian heritage – Tracy Hopkins, Eric Tran, An Truong, and Tai Kulenic – who will address the unique experiences of AAPI people who are still largely portrayed as a “model minority” and a monolithic group. Topics will include the rise of Asian hate since the COVID-19 pandemic, issues of identity, and cultural humility in practice.

Attendees will be entered into a raffle for AAPI books.
